A BIT ABOUT US
Our goal for Mission Built goes beyond simply being a commercial operation. It is our mission to connect the community to country, culture and the Dreaming. Part of how we do that is through our sponsorship of Wild Reaches. By supporting them, we are building a stronger platform to showcase Indigenous culture.
We want to help overcome current boundaries and prejudices and create a broader understanding and appreciation of First Nations culture. We believe that by using our expertise to provide off-road travelling solutions, we can help increase reach to remote destinations and impact Australian society in a significant way.
Through spreading First Nations knowledge and understanding we hope to build a more inclusive Australia. We intend to be a strong force of national reconciliation and to build a better society that can only be achieved together.

Moana does all the essential stuff…data entry, accounting, marketing, procuring, budgeting, HR, WHS….you get the gist. Comes with over 20 years experience in raising the next gen (raising 3 children ain’t no joke), 12 years in industrial B2B sales and 10 years working in the hospitality industry.
Fun fact- Moana is an outdoors enthusiast. She loves the water…an advanced scuba diver who can ski, wakeboard and swims like a shark.

DIRECTOR
Dwayne is of the Waanyi people- close to the border of the NT in FNQ. The impact of colonisation on his family is first documented with the removal & relocation of his Great Grandparents, Gundawarringa King & Mary King from Turn Off Lagoon (near to present-day Doomadgee) to Mornington Island in 1935. By 1943 the assimilation policy had a firm hold and the generational trauma inflicted on his family is still prevalent today.
Dwayne is determined though!
At 18 years of age, Dwayne began working for his trade…boilermaking/engineering/fabrication. Over the last 26 years he’s learnt much about steel, aluminium and all its uses. Diesel’s greatest quality is listening. Listening to what the client wants, collaborating and sharing his wealth of experience, then transforming that into a finished product.
Fun fact: he’s a great artist- pastels, lead drawing, painting with oils & acrylics….can look at a landscape or portrait and interpret that into his own fine artwork.

CAD DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER
Danny is a deadly white fulla. He is born & bred on the Sunny Coast and it was here that he met & married into big mob through his wife, Stevie. A proud Gumbaynggirr woman.
Danny has over 17 years experience in the boilermaking/welding industry. Danny has a proven track record of managing large teams and projects. His ability to design, fabricate and attention to detail is second to none. *sidenote- his TIG welding is OUT OF THIS WORLD! * Danny knows how to translate an idea, to a handsketch, to engineering drawings- and bring it to life. He’s passionate about the end product…down to the most hidden welds. Functionality and practicality is always at the forefront. Quality = Daniel Bird!
Fun Fact- The man can fish. Just don’t ask him where the great spots are :)
